Japanese by heritage, born in London, raised in Tokyo, educated in Switzerland and the U.S., and now rooted in Canada.

Growing up across cultures shaped the way I see the world. Being surrounded by different values and ways of living made me more aware of the ideas and expectations we absorb — sometimes without even noticing.

That perspective stayed with me beyond culture. It made me more interested in what we feel, what sits behind those feelings, and what they might reveal about what actually matters to us.
